JACKIE’S Seafood, the longtime flagship of the Bayous, will close on February 10.
The seafood restaurant has operated at the site since 2004 and has hosted a number of major events at the restaurant including its annual Seafood Festival, which has included live entertainment.
Jackie and his wife, Amy, will move into a new location in the Houston neighborhood of Katy, the Houston Chronicle reported.
“We have a lot of new employees and a lot more fun in the new space,” Amy Jackie told the Chronicle.
“Jackie’s is one of the best places to have a great seafood dinner.
I love Jackie.
We have been at Jackies for 25 years and we will miss him.”
The Jackies have been open for more than a decade at the southeast corner of Kirby and Lamar avenues, just across the street from the Katy Convention Center.
The Houston Chronicle reports that the Jackies are currently planning to reopen the restaurant on the west side of the Katy Beltway.
The new restaurant will be located in the former Jackies seafood processing plant.
